THE COACHES
Sam Dudley
After achieving a First Class BSc degree in Sports Performance Coaching at Solent University and a Level 2 in Coaching Children's Cricket, Sam has a decade of coaching experience with varying age groups from club level to county youth pathway and senior 1stXI, boys and girls.
Sam has developed his coaching style over the years to focus his sessions on individual skill development, whether this is in a 1-2-1 or group setting, catering for any age, ability and skill set. Overall, he strives to get as many children involved in cricket as possible, whether it is to simply gain enjoyment from the game or to improve their performance further.
This led him to adopt many different roles as a Cricket Coach, becoming the Performance Analyst for Wiltshire CCC’s 1st XI and South Wilts 1st XI, and subsequently, falling into Wiltshire's Talent Pathway, Canford School and Port Regis School’s performance sport.
Sam is currently overseeing all physical development programmes at Port Regis and Wiltshire CCC, whilst specialising in developing movement competency, strength, power, speed and robustness. These qualities help to enhance performance across all aspects of cricket and many other sports. Furthermore, he strives to develop players’ physicality and mentality to be the best they can be, on and off the field.
Lucy Nicholson
Lucy is an experienced cricket coach with over five years of coaching expertise. She holds a Level 2 Coaching Qualification and has a strong background both as a player and a leader. A former captain of her university’s women’s cricket team, she has also played for the South Wilts Girls team and played for Wiltshire at county level. In addition to her playing experience, she has coached players across various age groups within Wiltshire, combining her technical knowledge with a passion for developing emerging talent.
Archie Fairfax-Ross
Archie is an experienced and passionate cricket coach with a strong background in competitive cricket. He has played for the Hampshire 2nd XI and the Hampshire Academy, and currently represents both the South Wilts 1st XI and Wiltshire 1st XI at minor county level.
Holding a Level 2 Coaching Qualification, Archie has been coaching for the past two years, delivering a mix of one-to-one and group coaching sessions. His coaching style is player-focused, aiming to develop technical skills, game awareness, and confidence in cricketers of all ages and abilities.
Archie is dedicated to creating a positive, challenging, and supportive environment, helping players reach their full potential both on and off the field.
